Game Recap

The 8th Grade A team looked to finish the week 6-0 and did just that when they defeated Keefer Crossing 30-0. The Mustangs got off to a good start when Hayden Jansky caught a pass from Cale Hellums and took it 15 yards in to put the Mustangs up 6-0. The Mustangs would extend their lead to 14-0 when Hellums would scramble loose for 55 yards and find the end zone. Later in the 1st half, Hellums would connect with Trey Leggett from 60 yards to extend the lead to 22-0. As time winded down in the 1st half, safety Tye Copeland would intercept a fake punt and return it 35 yards to push the lead to 30-0. On defense, Copeland anchored the Mustang defense along with Hunter Bilbo who pulled down an interception. On the defensive line, Cole Savoy and Jonathan Hietikko prevented Keefer Crossing from getting any momentum offensively.

Next week, the Mustangs will be home again on Tuesday to battle Oak Hill.
