The Varsity Boys started the season off with a big win on the road last night at Houston Memorial 72-66. The Mustangs were a perfect 14-14 from the free throw line in the second half, hitting some very big one’s down the stretch. Five players were in double figures last night. Jaylen Wysinger led the team with 22 points. Cameron Carter and Logan Greathouse both had 13 points and Connor Sellars and Michael Stamps both added 10. The Mustangs will play next at the New Caney Tournament starting on Thursday.

The Lady Mustangs dropped a game to Jersey Village tonight 38-66. Despite a close first half score of being down only 3 points at half time, the Mustangs fell short to the Lady Falcons. Hannah Eggleston finished the game with 17 points. Lizzie Lofton added 7.

Game Recap

The Lady Mustang Maroon team lost a heart breaker to Breaker to Bear Branch on Thursday. The first game we dominated by a score of 25-14, but then lost 25-14 and 15-11. Outstanding defense was played by Rebekah York, Peyton Simpson, and Reagan Jones. Simpson added 10 points from the service line and Jones added 9.

Game Recap

The Lady Mustangs 8th grade gold team fell short against top seed Bulldogs in three sets. The Mustangs lost the first set 20-25, won the second set 25-20, and lost a back and fourth third set 15-11. Consistent and outstanding players of the match included Avery Carlyle and Paige Driggers.

Game Recap

This past Friday, the Mustangs hosted the Huntsville Hornets at Mustang Stadium and fell to the Hornets 20-3.

John Matocha led the Mustang Offense for the night. He threw for 157 yards on 19 completions in 26 attempts. Matocha also ran for 49 yards on 18 carries. Konner Cooper and Martin Nguyen led the Mustangs with six receptions each. Cooper finished with 70 yards receiving and Nguyen with 29.

The Mustang’s Defense slowed the Hornet’s attack allow just 239 totals yards of offense. Noah Bryson led the Mustangs with eleven tackles. Rusty Bertrand and Conner Phillips both would finish the night with ten tackles apiece.

The Mustangs next play at Merrill Green Stadium in Bryan, Texas against the Leander Rouse Raiders on Thursday November 16th at 7:00 PM.

Game Recap

The Lady Mustangs lost their season opener tonight to the Panthers 51-57. Despite a heart felt effort, missed FT’s and late minute turnovers were the albatross that hindered a victory. Key contributors on the floor were Hannah Eggleston who led all scores for the Mustangs with 26 points. Freshman Alyssa May and Senior Kenadie Wilde each finished with 7.
